As Infused Pre-Rolls Approach Half the Category, STM Canna Launches the RocketBox 3.0 for Homogenized Material
Next-generation RocketBox engineered for high-volume homogenized infused flower as infused products reach 47% of U.S. pre-roll revenue
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Infused pre-rolls have become one of the most important segments of the U.S. cannabis market, but producing them at scale presents challenges that traditional pre-roll filling equipment was not originally designed to handle.
STM Canna is addressing that production challenge with the launch of the RocketBox 3.0, its next-generation commercial pre-roll filling machine and the most versatile RocketBox in the company's lineup.
The RocketBox 3.0 was developed to provide the additional power and process control needed for heavier, stickier and denser homogenized infused material while retaining the flexibility to run standard flower on the same machine. It also gives producers multiple tray configurations and greater flexibility in how the machine integrates into an existing production environment.
The launch comes as infused products continue to take a larger share of the pre-roll category. According to Headset data cited by Custom Cones USA, infused pre-rolls accounted for approximately 47% of U.S. pre-roll category revenue, approaching half of total category sales.
“Infused pre-rolls have become a major part of the category, but producers aren't all making the same products or running the same production setup,” said Jason Dueweke, CEO of STM Canna. “We designed the RocketBox 3.0 to give producers more flexibility in how they run their pre-roll operation, from the material they're filling to the tray configuration and how the machine fits into the rest of their production line.”
Built for Homogenized Infused Material
The RocketBox 3.0 builds on STM Canna's RocketBox platform with increased power and greater control over the filling process.
At the center of the system is Particle Lock Technology, a controlled swirling vortex that settles material into place layer by layer instead of tamping it. Speed control and the adjustable top tray let operators tune density and fill volume for material that runs heavier, stickier or denser than standard ground flower.
The machine is designed for production of up to 20,000 pre-rolls per day, depending on product characteristics, pre-roll size, tray configuration, operator workflow and other production variables.
The same system can run homogenized infused or standard flower, allowing producers to manufacture multiple pre-roll product types without requiring separate filling equipment.
Multiple Tray Configurations for Different Production Workflows
One of the key changes with the RocketBox 3.0 is the ability to configure the machine around different production requirements.
Operators can use the machine with one 453-joint tray for high-volume filling or run two 72-joint trays simultaneously.
The dual 72-joint configuration also allows producers to incorporate the RocketBox 3.0 into STM Canna's One-Tray Workflow, where compatible trays can move between production stages and equipment without requiring operators to individually transfer pre-rolls between machines.
This gives producers the ability to choose a tray configuration based on how they want to run their production line rather than being locked into a single workflow.
Part of STM Canna's One-Tray Workflow
For producers building a larger automated production line, the RocketBox 3.0 can become part of STM Canna's modular One-Tray Workflow.
Using compatible trays, pre-rolls can move from filling into STM equipment such as the LaunchPad Scale for weighing and the Atomic Closer automated Dutch Crown machine for closing.
The modular system gives producers the ability to build filling, weighing and closing automation around their production requirements rather than committing to a single, significantly more expensive all-in-one system.
It also allows individual pieces of equipment to be added or upgraded as production requirements change.
Flexible Air Supply Options
The RocketBox 3.0 includes an onboard air system, allowing it to operate without requiring a facility's existing compressed-air infrastructure.
For commercial facilities that already operate an in-house air compressor, the machine also provides the option to connect directly to the facility's compressed-air supply instead of using the onboard system.
The choice gives producers additional flexibility when integrating the RocketBox 3.0 into an existing production facility and allows the machine to be configured around the infrastructure already in place.
Commercial Pre-Roll Production
The RocketBox 3.0 is manufactured in the United States and is intended for licensed cannabis producers, pre-roll manufacturers, co-packers and other commercial operations.
STM Canna's equipment is currently used in 44 U.S. states and more than 14 countries, with STM technology used by 50% of the top 20 U.S. pre-roll brands. The company estimates that more than 1 billion pre-rolls have been produced using STM equipment.
The RocketBox 3.0 joins STM Canna's broader line of modular commercial cannabis processing equipment, including filling, grinding, weighing, closing, cone-loading, vape and infusion systems.
